It's A Celebration 🎉

The Atlanta Science Festival starts this weekend on March 9th and runs until March 23rd! That is two whole weeks of scientific fun, entertainment and discovery.

No matter the type of science that tickles your fancy (they have wildlife, astronomy, food science, chemistry… I could keep going) you’ll find it at this science celebration.

The Festival is a non-profit organization that began as a collaboration in 2014 between Emory University, Georgia Tech University and Metro Atlanta Chamber. With more than 125 events and a giant Exploration Expo on the 23rd, this has turned into one of the biggest science events in the southern US with more than 50,000 visitors. Luckily most of the events are free, but even the ones that are paid only have nominal fees. I’ve never been to a science festival so I’m really excited to see how they bring fresh energy around these subjects directly to the public. The events are great for all family members and the Atlanta Science Festival events page oh so conveniently tags their event descriptions with the audiences they’re suited for. So grab your kids, your spouse, grandparents, friends, acquaintances and neighbors and prepare to be amazed!

Here are just a few of the different types of events you’ll find this year at the festival. Just be sure to make sure you sign up quickly because a few events are already SOLD OUT.
